To use ctags on gcc preprocessor output files (*.i
and *.ii for C and C++ respectively) I tried to use
the following command:

ctags --line-directives --langmap=c:.i,c++:.ii
--recurse --excmd=numbers .

This crashes on a SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

ctags --line-directives --language-force=c++
--excmd=numbers *.ii

works as expected (but does not recurse and will not
process C, of course).

I will now try to create/obtain a non-stripped
version for backtrace.

    I believe this should be fixed by the new 5.1 version.
    Please verify this and let me know via email
    (<darren@hiebert.com>) one way or the other. Since you
    didn't leave contact information, I cannot contact you about
    this.

    I am very happy to be able to confirm version 5.1 resolves
    the problem.

    Thanks very much.
