Cool Reader misidentifies the period after the abbreviation “Mr.” as a sentence-ending full-stop. The TTS engine on my phone (Ivona) is perfectly capable of reading this as one sentence, but Cool Reader splits it up (into “Hello, Mr.” + “Cooper, and welcome.”) before sending it to the engine.

I suggest a language-specific list of words that don’t end sentences, even though they have periods. For English, {Dr., Mr., Mrs., Ms., St.} would do for starters.
