This major release is a Vim 7 feature preview: a new spell check system with suggested alternate spellings, a tabbed document interface, and current line highlighting. Other updates include improved backwards compatibility with older versions of Vim (back to version 6.1), new visual indicators of Settings and Preferences menu items, improved startup speed, find next occurrence of a selected word (F3), improved insert character list, and a fixed middle mouse pasting behavior.
