In lib, Cream_file_open() you will find the line:
let myfile = browse(0, "Select file", "", '')
Simply replace it with:
let myfile = browse(0, "Select file", fnamemodify(bufname('%'), ':p:h'), '')
(which may already be commented right above it). I tested this for a
while and it eventually drove me crazy. "last opened" seems more
intuitive than "this file's directory". But it would be pretty simple
to make an option though, I'll have to think if it's worth the menu
