imap <silent> <C-F4> <C-o>:call Cream_close()<CR>
in your cream-user. (The reason Alt+F4 and Ctrl+F4 are the same is
because the first is sometimes overridden by the operating system, and
the second covers the application for operating systems without it.)

You should find this fixed in Cream 0.38. The only corner case we
can't address is when Vim never looses focus such as in a single
motion drag-and-drop from explorer.
