Cream is a free, easy-to-use configuration of the Vim text editor

I didn't find this in the faq, although there are numerous other requests for this you can find with google: How can I make cream act like vim by default? If I start cream, then set behavior to act like vim, that makes the option to save the cream configuration disappear. So there's no way to save that behavior as a default. - Phil |

Is it just tab positioning that you are trying to restore? I'd like that too, I just haven't ever taken the time to implement it. Or are there other items as well? The difficulty with loading .vim sessions is that Cream micro-manages quite a large portion of settings per buffer and per focus. Probably 95% of what is saved in a session file is handled by Cream variables and autocmds. If I had a better understanding of what was wanted, I may be able to simply add a Cream feature to manage it directly. -- Steve Hall [ digitect dancingpaper com ] :: Cream for Vim (http://cream.sourceforge.net) |

If you start Cream to get Vim, you should probably just start Vim. But if you insist... use a cream-conf.vim per http://cream.sourceforge.net/faq.html#0201 Edit the example file to set Cream's default behavior to Vim: let g:CREAM_BEHAVE = "vim" -- Steve Hall [ digitect dancingpaper com ] :: Cream for Vim http://cream.sourceforge.net |
