I did a big debian update (like 200 MB), and now, cream always starts in fullscreen. I still have this commented out: " autocmd VimEnter * call Cream_screen_init() But even if I uncomment it, it starts maximized, and only the text are inside the maximized window gets set smaller, so that is even weirder. gvim always works correctly, placing a new window at the places the window manager choose, just what i want. Any ideas? This is under Gnome, metacity WM. -- Elias Pschernig |

This is under Gnome, metacity WM. Very strange, this sounds like some issue with your build of gVim. I can't see it on Cream 0.32cvs, gVim 6.3.27, Fedora Core 3, GNOME 2.8. Does your gVim maximize without Cream? Can you try some other build of gVim to test? -- Steve Hall [ digitect mindspring com ] Cream... something good to put in your Vim! http://cream.sourceforge.net |

Actually, I just discovered, it only happens with certain files. I guess, it is a bug in gnome. Not sure where to look though. I removed ~/.cream completely, and it still does the same - but only for the same files. Oh, now, this is even more weird. It seems to depend on in which gnome-terminal window i open the file. I closed them all, and now I can't reproduce it anymore. So, for now, this is solved. I'll make a screenshot next time it occurs :) And probably it could have happened to gvim as well.. just cream is by far my most used application :) -- Elias Pschernig |
