The initial code is in. libjpeg is automatically built into a framework that is embedded in the final Chicken app. I have hacked the code to tell the server that we support jpeg. Currently it will always tell the server we support it. There is no way to turn it off (though I believe that if Tight encoding is off, the jpeg will be ignored) or change the compression setting (currently 4). This hack is in Profile.m. It really does speed everything up. Please check it out so we can discuss what we want to do with this in more detail.
