And a link to on-line docs. If a Help menu is not forthcoming right away, as a temporary fix please make the info below appear, say, in existing Preferences menu: Mouse Button Emulation If you are one of those cursed with a single button mouse, you can emulate the right button by quickly tapping the <Shift> key. The mouse pointer will change to indicate that clicks will act like the third (right) mouse button. Likewise, you can emulate the middle button by quickly tapping the <Control> key. To cancel emulation, tap the key a second time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jason Harris (smeger) Date: 2003-02-19 15:54 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=351330 I think that this setting doesn't do anything - it's broken. The mouse emulation stuff needs to be ripped out and revamped as it's fairly crufty. I believe that this was intended to allow you emulate a third-button click by pressing two modifier keys in quick succession, hence the timeout. But this is superceded by the existing method of pressing a single modifier and then the mouse to emulate the third button. The point of all of this is that it's crufty code that needs to be ripped out and redone in a more accessible (and understandable!) manner. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=507162&aid=667605&group_id=64347 |

It's easy to do and helps people out quite a bit. If I ever get time to work on Chicken again, I'll add it. :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2003-07-24 06:47 Message: Logged In: NO Actually, it would be nice if there were a Help menu listing the contents of the "About Chicken of VNC.rtf" file, including info on 3-buttone mouse info, full-screen tricks, and other info the user should have easy access to.
