I'm sure you know that a big problem for VNC users--even
experienced ones who maybe haven't been at the client computer for a
while--is that the windows look indistinguishable from the local OS's
How about an option to tint the VNC window, so that you see the
remote machine through rose-colored glasses (or blue-tinted, or
That would be cool and would pretty much totally solve the problem of
mistaking remote windows for local ones. The tinting would be done on
the client machine and so would be nice and zippy on modern
machines, and losers with old iron could just not turn on the option.
Anyway, it is a cool idea. My schedule's packed with boring stuff, but I
will make a point to check out the source and try to code it myself if you
don't implement it by 2009. ;-)
