Do I understand correctly that cotvnc is only a VNC viewer and has no server component?
I have RealVNC running on my Intel computer and am experimenting with Vine and CotVNC on my Mac's, but, Vine has to be paid for. I am looking for something free for the Mac so I can access my Mac from my PC within the confines of my LAN at home.
CotVNC works great when connecting from my eMac to my Macmini running Vine, and to my PC running RealVNC, but, I want this connection to work the opposite way too.
Is there a free Mac VNC server that I could use with CotVNC?
From http://redstonesoftware.com/products/vine/server/ "Vine Server is available for the Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 operating systems free of charge."
"Vine Server" apparently = "OSXvnc"
I think that is what I downloaded, but, I had to get a trial license key and the text that came with my license key stated it was good for 1 week. I will look further and see if I may have downloaded the wrong package.
