I'm running windows 7 pro. I added the tab I needed for git bash to run. It didn't work and crashed at startup because I deleted the other default tab and only had the git bash tab which crashed. I then deleted the whole folder and redownloaded from sourceforge thinking I could start again from scratch. It still tries to run my git bash tab I created - seems to be using something saved to the registry but I can't find it.

Note: Console does not use registry to store settings.

Console's configuration can be in two files: console.xml next to console.exe or %appdata\console\console.xml.

If you can't find either of them, but freshly unzipped Console still crashes on boot, you can try to use -c switch:

    console.exe -c c:\path\to\known-good-console.xml

Bonus: if you use my unofficial build from http://kirill.ca, you could try using -safe switch.

Sorry, the second file had to be

    %appdata%\console\console.xml
