Even if you change "black" to some other color in "Console colors map", the inside border (set in Appearance/Mode => Styles => Inside border) remains black. I've recently switched to Solarized (see here: https://github.com/stevenharman/console2-solarized\) which changes black to navy-blue(ish), and the black border makes it all look ugly.

Please make inner border adapt settings from color map, or add a way of setting inner border's color.

The color of the border is controlled by Edit > Settings > Tabs > your tab > Background. Note that if "black" in your color map is real black, the whole window will have the selected background.

So, one way to achieve your results is to set "black" to black in the Colors Map, and change tab's background to navy-blue(ish).

I confirm the "tab background" solution works, thanks!

Actually I left the black to be "navy-blue(ish)", and also set the tab background to that color. Now it looks like it supposed to.
However, I wouldn't call the way it works now 'intuitive'.
