I had to get on here and find defect 1969816 to understand that "Tab 1" in "New Tab 1" means "Tab TYPE 1" while "Tab 1" in "Switch to Tab 1" means "Tab NUMBER 1". Please consider renaming the first so it matches the function, and renaming the header of the list of tab types in the "Tabs" section to "Tab Type". It would make it easier for a newcomer to understand what they are getting here. Thanks!

Discussion

  • Just installed Console and had a similar experience, but with the command line: I was using -t as the tab title.

My suggestion would be to rename the Tabs entry in the Settings dialog to Profiles and in the command line change the -t switch to -p (mantaining a "deprecated" -t for backwards compatibility if necessary).

Allthough the -t for specifying the tab title would not be bad...
