Using: Console 2.00 Beta 126

When i set the console to show the desktop wallpaper as
background, it moves around with the Console window.
Basically it just shows me the most centered part of
the desktop background image no matter where on the
screen I place the Console window (i.e. I do not get
the kind of look-through-to-the-desktop feel). This
worked in version 1.5.

Strange. Can you attach a screenshot and your config here?

Do you run only one Console instance?

After posting this bug I found the problem is actually only
related to the tab background (Edit -> Settings -> Tabs ->
Background). The window transparency does not have this bug.

What I also found is that it actually starts by showing the
wallpaper correctly when I start up the console. If I then
move the console around the wallpaper is just "frosen" and
moves with the console. But as soon as I make the window
inactive the wallpaper re-positions itself again and aligns
with the desktop. If I then move the console again the cycle
    continues.

Do you still need the config file and the screenshot?

Ah, I understand. You had both alpha transparency and
'desktop' background selected. Yes, that doesn't work for
some reason, but since it's a silly combination, I won't be
    fixing it at the moment

Oh yes you are right - when I switch off alpha transparency,
the tab transparency starts to work fine.

It would say though that it can be a useful combination if
you only use the "inactive window" part of the alpha
transparency and set the "active window" slider to 0. In
that case I can see the desktop background through the black
background of the console but the menus and tabs are still
sharp until I make the window inactive and the whole thing
goes blurry. But yes, I agree it is only cosmetic.

I will try to fix this in the future (not sure if it's
possible) At the moment, it will go on the 'known bugs and
    limitations list' :)
