ConcourseConnect Architecture & Scalability

ConcourseConnect is developed using Java Servlet, JSP and Portlet technologies. At the heart of the application is a light-weight MVC framework built from the ground-up to support very high functionality while minimizing the required skill-set to extend the functionality.

In the end, you get an easy-to-install social networking application (the easiest we know of).

Source Code Coming Soon!

Hello!

We've just created this Sourceforge project as vehicle for distributing our Open Source code. From here you can download the tarball, and soon, rpm's for various OS's and virtual machines with the whole app installed and running.

ConcourseConnect is a "lightweight" J2EE app (servlets, no EJB's) that requires a fair amount of basic Java and database infrastructure. It runs with Sun Java, Tomcat, Lucene, and a variety of other Java resources, and PostgreSQL as the database. The tarball comes with the basic application and everything it needs to run on top of Java, Tomcat and PostgreSQL. You are responsible for installing those. The rpm will allow you to install the whole thing if you care to connect to our yum repository. You can also install the prerequisites yourself. ... read more
