1. We want to connect the compiere client to a oracle cluster (RAC). We normally use the JDBC-Connection:

jdbc:oracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(LOAD_BALANCE=yes)(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=intradbrac1.jmueller.local)(PORT=1521))(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=intradbrac2.jmueller.local)(PORT=1521)))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=JMINT)))

2. In the window of the RUN_setu we select in the field 'database search' the corresponding TNS-Entry.

3. The setup generates a default connection descriptor using the standard fields. There is no point to add the parameters for the load balancing etc.

The issues are known, the workaround is at least known to the customer.

As it was never officially supported it would be more a Feature Request, no Bug.

If we really are going to fix this I need to discuss with sunny and we need to decide whether we support this in SelfService.
