hi,
i'd like to put the value 'Search' on the field 'Reference' for a field of one table.
It works very well with the pre-existent tables in compiere but not with the tables witch i added manually. Is there any field in the database that i should add to my table to do so (i've added yet: isactive, created, createdby ,updated, updateby, ad_client_id, ad_org_id)?
thanks :)

Search reference is working like Table Direct (if you don't set any Reference Key) or like a Table (if you set a Reference Key), but instead of using combo boxes it will use a search field, so the "Search" reference is recommended when linking to a high volume table.
Now, if you don't set a "Reference Key" your column should have the same name as your referred table (e.g. if your table name is "X_MyTable" than your column should have the name "X_MyTable_ID"). This works exactly like "Table Direct" references.
Best regards,
