I am trying to set an address for Business Partner. On the tab Business Partner -> Location there is a field for Address which can be extended to view the address details.
When I choose Russian Federation for country the field for region is disappearing. Can it be fixed without going into the source code? If yes, can anybody help to solve this problem

Logged with System Administrator Role, you should go in the country window and check that Russian Federation has "Region" checkbox ticked.

Yes, I logged on as system administrator and checked the "Region" checkbox for the Russian Federation. It was set. So the problem still persists. Can I do anything else?
i don't know, i never had to use this functionnality
maybe you should check that some regions are created in the "region" tab of the country window

I could resolve my problem at last. I have defined the Region at the Address Print Format in the Location Window, like this: @C@, @P@ @R@ and Region field appeared for Russian Federation
