It would be nice if there was a option that loaded the
images without doing anything to them.

Currently loading images (that aren't even compressed)
is really slow, even when all the options to resize is
disabled. I don't know if this is something that has to
do with my computer, but loading extremely large images
in other image viewing applications like "Feh" is super
quick. (http://www.linuxbrit.co.uk/feh)

The big part of the time is taken by the program to load the
images from the files. I don't know if Python or PyGTK could
handle this faster, but I am afraid it is nothing I can do
    anything about.

Maybe Feh caches the next image to make the perceived speed
faster? It is a feature planned for Comix anyway, I hope you
can live without for a bit longer. ;)

Comix isn't as slow as I thought, I based that on selecting
and loading a single image .. but what I didn't understand
was that Comix loaded all of the files in the directory so
you can browse all of them. And with this in mind Comix is
as fast as it needs to be.

Summary: Just forget what I said about Comix being slow! ;)
