In Live Search, I can find members. I get a folder icon for the > MEMBERS folder and a person icon for MEMBERS PROFILE folder. ah, this reflects a bit of a misunderstanding. the two folders serve very different purposes. the 'Members' folder contains all of your member home folders. this is the place where each site member can have a home page, upload files, pictures, make new folders, whatever. the 'Member Profiles' folder, also called the memberdata tool, or portal_memberdata, is the place where the personal information ABOUT each member (i.e. the member profile) is stored. even before you installed CMFMember, there was a portal_memberdata tool, and all of the member profile information lived in the tool. but with CMFMember, these profile objects have become full content objects, supporting workflow and AT schema-based data management. these are what you're seeing in the 'Member Profiles' folder. > When I access MEMBER PROFILES through LiveSearch, I can see MEMBER > SEARCH. However, when I search for a user's name, I get the message > "Search results: No results were found." Even when I search logged in as > admin. weird. perhaps your member_catalog is somehow munged. in the ZMI, try browsing to member_catalog, then the 'Advanced' tab, and then clicking the 'Update Catalog' button (it might take a little while). once it's done, try again to search, let us know what happened. > ISSUES: > > --Members get "insufficient privileges" message when they click on > content created by a member. Content created by admin IS accessible. can you generate a VerboseSecurity traceback for this? see http://plone.org/documentation/how-to/debug-unauthorized for help here. > --Member search yields this message: "Search results: No results were > found." I tested this and it works just fine. can regular users log in? -r |
