Hello everyone, This early Weekly development build will be the last release of 2005. I = look forward to 2006 and I would like to wish you all a lot of success = for 2006, helped in part by COLLADA and ColladaMaya. This week, I fixed a few validation issues, reported by Rich Forster of = SCEE whom I would like to thank for his help. I fixed the export of = texture coordinate sets on skinned characters and the import of polygon = holes. More importantly, I took the time to bring ColladaMaya to same = support for relative file paths that was implemented in the COLLADA = tools for 3dsMax. I know this is a feature that has been waiting for too = long, if you try it out, please give me feedback on issue or possible = improvements. You can get this new release here: = http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/colladamaya/ColladaPluginForMaya-0.84.= zip?download Happy holidays from everyone at Feeling Software! Best Regards, Guillaume Laforte Feeling Software Inc http://www.feelingsoftware.com Recent Changes: -------------------------------------------------------------- 21/12/05 (Release 0.84) (gla...@fe...) Relative File Paths: Based on the 3dsMax COLLADA tools code, refactor = the export of urls to support a "relative file paths" option. = Verified/refactored the code paths that export filenames to ensure they = all pass through the same code: textures, FX includes and XRef. Note = that <source_data> is kept absolute intentionally. Fixed the import of holed polygons. 20/12/05 (gla...@fe...) Merged in the FS import classes change from 3dsMax plug-ins: remove = duplicate per-vertex animation indices, when caching them in the source. <skeleton> should contain the skeleton ID as text, not a 'url' = attribute. Duplicate, for <node> elements, the ID into the SID, in order to follow = the COLLADA 1.4 specification for skeletons. Fixed the missing texture coordinate on export of skinned characters. |
