When generating test files, I managed to create one
with the following:

<image id="default_1-image" name="default_1">
<init_from>file://C|/Documents and
Settings/me/Desktop/default.tga</init_from>
</image>

When I inspect the daeURI in the <init_from> element, I
find the string has been truncated to:

"Settings/me/Desktop/default.tga"

This means that I cannot find files with names in their
paths. On a related note, if I change the spaces in the
COLLADA file to "%20" the daeURI contains the full
string but hasn't parsed the "%20" characters into
spaces - surely the DOM should be handling this?

    The spaces are allowed now. The DOM doesn't change %20 into
    space though.

    There is code in the DOM to change a space character into
    %20 on export though (in daeResolverType::memoryToString()).
    Does this mean it can't roundtrip files with spaces in URIs?
