Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Colinux crashes XP kernel Initial Comment: I am running colinux-0.6.2 on Dell Optiplex machines 3.0Ghz Penium-4, 512Mb RAM (128Mb assigned to coinux), SATA HDD. When I try to run the coLinux daemon the host XP OS crashes and produces the following error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL The version of colinux I am using works fine on Dell Inspiron/Latitude laptops and a variety of older Dell kit. All are running XP-2002 service pack 2. Mark O'Neill (ma...@he...) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2005-10-03 08:52 Message: Logged In: NO Same problem here using colinux-0.6.2 on a Dell Dimension 8400. Running colinux-daemon.exe with no configuration XML exits cleanly (but no linux, duh). Telling it to read a configuration XML results immediately in this BSOD + DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. Details: 3.2Ghz Pentium 4 2Gb RAM of which 256Mb is assigned to colinux ATI RADEON X300 SE (128Mb) Windows XP SP2 SATA HDD Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit controller Problem occurs repeatedly with Fedora 2.4 kernel root_fs (did not try any others). Same software configuration on my home-built machine (P4 2.8 Ghz, ATI Radeon 9600 SE, Sata HDD, Win XP SP2) works fine. I'm guessing the culrpit is the Broadcom ethernet or the Radeon X300.
