I was curious if anyone has tips that may help in 'boosting' TAP speed. When in Windows, I use coLinux/Samba to access my Linux files (the largest partition on my system is reiserfs). Most of the time, the speed is sufficient, until I want to work with a large file (a video or full size CD rip for example). When copying large files, I seem to putter along at about 200k - 400k a second, and that's on a beffy AMD64 box. Is this a limitation of the TAP implemetation? Something else? Can it be tweaked?
