here are my result about building glibc under colinux. I can not say is
colinux, kernel or both. This trace here can repeat allways again. Any
build under colinux was crashing.
The two pictures view some kernel symbols. This is not the
"check_rlimit" problem. The kernel panic comes only ones of ~10
crashes. Mostly system is frozen. Keyboard and network no response.
I save the uncomplete build and call last step again and again:
# make -C cc check
I add a strace, and see the the function "writev" never return and all
times crashing my windows.
The output before call ".../cc/elf/ld-linux.so.2" with parameter
".../localedef" and "ISO-8859-1". (The sleeps and "exit 255" I use ony
to get the variables before crashing the system!)
Run building over telnet and cut the last output from strace.
"writev" I not known, but the manpage says, it's a list of buffes to
save into file. Ok, simple. But why crash it?
I see any NULL-Pointers in the list (with size also 0). I this right?
Lc_ctype.zip (original LC_CTYPE):
This file was created, if building the glibc under real linux and
running kernel 188.8.131.52.
Under colinux this file was never created and not deleted. (crash
before sync to disk)
Have anybody rebuild a glibc 2.3 in real linux with kernel 2.6.10 or
2.6.11, with "rpmbuild --recompile glibc-2.3.2-87.src.rpm"? I have no
such kernel in real linux.
