I was messing about uninstalling from portable ubuntu and now get this problem on bootup:

The menus are deadly slow and Xming will not respond.

Here is the following entry for the Console error:

    root@pubuntu:/home/pubuntu# apt-get install Xlib:
extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "10.0.2.2:0.0".
Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "10.0.2.2:0.0".
Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "10.0.2.2:0.0".
Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "10.0.2.2:0.0".
Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "10.0.2.2:0.0".
Xlib:  extension "XFree86-Misc" missing on display "10.0.2.2:0.0".
Xlib:  extension "XFree86-Misc" missing on display "10.0.2.2:0.0".

As you can see I tried to install and re-install:

    I tried re-installing:
    gnome
    xming
    xserver
    and the above.

    Any ideas out there.
