    I folks!

I am currently experiencing a syslog issue since I upgrade to Ubuntu 10.10. Syslog process is using 100% CPU.
I found this thread dealing with the issue, it seems to relate to an update of the kernel API syslog is using:
    http://e-mats.org/2011/04/rsyslogd-stuck-at-eating-100-or-more-cpu-after-upgrading-to-ubuntu-natty-narwhal/

Is there any plans to update the colinux kernel to a recent version?
    Best regards,

    Nelson.

I can't answer your question about a kernel update, but a quick work-around for the problem is to comment out the "$ModLoad imklog" line in /etc/rsyslog.conf.  This will stop rsyslog from attempting to read the proc filesystem.

I reported the same problem back in December on the colinux-users mailing list.

    Ok thanks for the workaround.
