    Hello,

I am having a problem running coLinux without Administrative rights, it seems that all is working well except of the TAP networking support.

    I get:
conet-daemon: tap device open: last error: Access is denied.
conet-daemon: error opening TAP device (80121001)

    The bridge networking works fine!

    I use the following version:
    Cooperative Linux Daemon, 0.6.1
    Compiled on Sat May 29 16:20:11 2004

Can anyone tell me how to solve this?

    Best Regards,
    Alon Bar-Lev.

    • the tap, as a driver, needs to be installed by who holds rights to do it. if not specified.. usually only administrators

let install it by an admin... or stick with the bridged way :)

        Thanks!

But how do I specify someone different?
Usually drivers have ACLs that permite other to access them... does TAP has one?

        Best Regards,
