This sounds like something that should be configurable (for me, I like the current behavior)

Instead of displaying a selectable list of documentation available for a given function name (there are 1-7 in the screenshot attached), just display all the different variations of function signatures. This means the user does not have to take their hands off the keyboard to browse all the overloaded versions of the method, and is much more user-friendly. Netbeans uses the system described. Compare in the screenshot attached.
