I looked at the Typesetting sample both on Windows and Linux.
On Windows it displays correctly:
But on Linux it does not:
Is it a bug?
that's evidently a matter of renderer, not OS - I can successfully open it under Ubuntu GNU/Linux using for example Adobe Reader and GhostView.
I have to verify why Poppler-based viewers such as Okular and Evince seem, at some degree, not to properly manage Composite font structures generated by the library; trying to open that sample file with Evince/Poppler 0.16.7, it renders correctly the body text, although keeping those missing-glyph boxes in place of the title spaces.
