On my Dell Inspiron laptop, I have a dual boot configuration consisting of Windows 7 and Ubuntu 14.04. I want to use Clonezilla to clone the Windows 7 system.
Running gparted shows there are three partitions relative to the Windows 7 system: sda1 = System Reserved, sda2 = Windows 7 and sda6 = Win7 Restore.
The main objective here is to reload the Windows 7 system and all of the necessary drivers. I don't want to have to download the drivers from Microsoft, if it is possible not to do so.
So my question is simply which of the three partitions should I clone? Or do I have to clone more than one partition?
It's sda1 and sda2. Your sda1 is about booting, and sda2 is for OS. You can ignore sda3 normally. However, if you want to have restoring function from MS windows, you'd better to have sda3, too.
