2 things I need to accomplish

I have a custom automated flash drive boot of Clonezilla that's set to restore a partition to another on a hard drive. I need to clean a couple things up before I call it done:

I'd like to remove the "Press Tab for Settings" text on the main start screen. I can't seem to find that in the config files.

I'd also like to remove, if possible, or at least not display all of the loading that takes place between the main start screen and the ocs_live_run executing. I'm not sure if any of that needs to take place for what I have this drive doing, which is very simple. I'm hopeful that if it's possible to disable all of that it might make these automated reloads go a little quicker.

One more thing I almost forgot: one thing that has caused this automated reload to not work is on a Windows 8 computer that was not shut down properly (i.e. holding down the power button). Seems to cause a problem with mounting the reload image. I know there's a force option and since it's been awhile since I initially made this I need someone to point out to me what the command is that I need to append to the restoreparts line to force mounting the image and to execute regardless of this. This is what my command line looks like at the moment:

    append initrd=/live/initrd.img boot=live config noswap nolocales edd=on nomodeset ocs_prerun="mount /dev/sda2 /mnt" ocs_prerun1="mount --bind /mnt/clonezilla /home/partimag/" ocs_live_run="ocs-sr -g auto -e1 auto -e2 -batch -r -j2 -k -p reboot restoreparts reload sda1" ocs_live_extra_param="" keyboard-layouts=NONE ocs_live_batch="yes" locales="en_US.UTF-8"

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

"I'd like to remove the "Press Tab for Settings" text on the main start screen. I can't seem to find that in the config files." ->
    http://drbl.org/faq/fine-print.php?path=./2_System/113_fully_automatically_restoring.faq#113_fully_automatically_restoring.faq

"I'd also like to remove, if possible, or at least not display all of the loading that takes place between the main start screen and the ocs_live_run executing. " -> Use alternative (Ubuntu-based) Clonezilla live. It uses splash which could meet your requirement.

Your 3rd question might be related to Linux kernel, so a different version of Clonezilla live might work. Therefore please try the testing one, e.g. 201402-trusty, too.

    Steven.

    Steven,

I tried the alternative testing releases and it's just as bad in terms of all the background loading that goes on, in fact probably worse. It gets to one point where it's waiting on network configuration, then tells you it's waiting an additional 60 seconds, etc. I don't need any of that, nothing I'm doing is taking place over the network. You used to have a version that did not do this about a year ago when I initially set all this up, I forget what it was called now, but basically after making your selection on the main start screen it would load a few lines then go right into running live.

Essentially, whatever takes place between the main start screen (usb config/video/network) and the point where it runs my ocs_live_run command I need to either not happen, happen very quickly, or whatever does need to happen not show on the screen. In other words, I'd like to hit enter on the main screen, load the ocs_live_run command and within a few seconds from start to finish see a partclone progress bar, if that makes sense.
