In LispWorks 4.2 I get an error about not being able to create a
directory when compiling files on a network volume. I fixed it by
adding the :host keyword to make-pathname:
;; make certain the directory we need to write to
;; exists [pvaneynd@... 20001114]
:host (pathname-host output-file)
Any problems with that change?

Does not look like it will cause problems. I will add it ASAP.
It is a good catch, given the incompatibilities of the treatment of
the :host slot by different implementors.
