Category: clisp Group: build problems Status: Pending Resolution: Rejected Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Randolf C. Richardson (sirrandolf) Assigned to: Sam Steingold (sds) Summary: DESTDIR support is broken in current. Initial Comment: Fix here: http://pkgsrc-wip.cvs.sourceforge.net/*checkout*/pkgsrc-wip/wip/clisp-current/patches/patch-ab [Posted for ASau` in freenode.net IRC channel #NetBSD.] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Aleksej Saushev (asau) Date: 2008-04-18 22:32 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=366594 Originator: NO The DESTDIR support is broken, and it is clear even from code inspection. You should pass the DESTDIR variable, without faking the support by passing another variable, which contain DESTDIR. See http://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/html_node/DESTDIR.html With correct support pkgsrc framework wouldn't catch the attempt to install files outside of destination directory, this mistake of faking DESTDIR support is typical, you're not the first one, that I know of, who made it. The patch provides the correct fix. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Sam Steingold (sds) Date: 2008-04-14 02:51 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=5735 Originator: NO destdir is passed over from above to po as a part of localedir/prefix.exec_prefix, see build-dir/Makefile generated by makemake. what specific misbehavior are you observing? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Sam Steingold (sds) Date: 2008-04-14 02:51 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=5735 Originator: NO This bug report is now marked as "pending"/"works for me". This means that we think that we cannot reproduce the problem and cannot do anything about it. Unless you - the reporter - act within 2 weeks (e.g., by submitting a self-contained test case), the bug will be permanently closed. Sorry about the inconvenience - we hope your silence means that you are no longer observing the problem either. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=101355&aid=1939959&group_id=1355 |
