You could also define a macro
  (def-setf-alias getter-symbol setter-symbol)
that hides the detail about the property-list.

Come on, put (setq *WARN-ON-FLOATING-POINT-RATIONAL-CONTAGION* nil) into
your .clisprc until I find time to deal with it!
