"# " comments are handled by utils/comment5.c or by
sed -e 's,# (.*)$,/*\1 */,'
of by `d-mode-convert-comment' and `d-mode-convert-block-comment'
"//" comments are handled by
sed -e 's,//(.*)$,/*\1 */,'
it would be real nice it clx.f were replaced with clx.c which would be
processed by modprep to the temp file clx.m.c (like modules/queens)
