We know the Autotools provides us a 'make check' function to test our buildups of projects. It runs usually just after installation but before launching the executable.
However, the CLIPS' self test suite operates on CLIPS> command line after the executable is launched - it seems the self test suite works separately from Autotool's 'make check' by using its own test packages.
I wonder, usually shall we implement both test methods together? Or is there a way to integrate the CLIPS existing test suite into 'make check' target?
It depends on what's required to use 'make check'. CLIPS has primarily been developed using non-unix environments, so the test suite does not rely on platform specific tools.
