How do you make the music, video, and computer folders open as a link instead
of a bunch of tiny folders? I want them to open like the documents and picture
folders. What I want is the Xp all progams menu with everthing else to work
like Windows 7. Got the All Prorams menu the way I want but can't get any
further than that. Been trying to get this right for days and can't make it
work. Someone has to word it out exactly or send a screen shot of how to do
    this.

To add any folder as an expandable link, go to Customize Start Menu tab,
scroll to the very bottom the right column and locate "Custom Command", double
click on "Custom Command" to add it to the left column. Give it some name,
drag to position it where you want, then double click to "Edit" it. Now you
must leave the Command: field empty and specify the folder in the Link: field.
Common folders like Music, Videos, Computer are already present in the
dropdown. Just click the combo box in the Link field and select the folder you
want, assign icon, tooltip whatever and click OK twice.

I used the custom command and named it. It still does not open as a link. What
exactly should you put in the command line to make it work? In the link folder
do you use: My Music | %USERPROFILE%\Music or: Music |
    ::{031E4825-7B94-4DC3-B131-E946B44C8DD5}\Music.library-ms to make it work?

Wait a minute. By "open as a link" you mean "not expand them as cascading
menus"? Then you need to check "Don't expand" checkbox below.

My Music is the folder under your user profile. Music.library-ms is the Music
Library. Whichever you want, you can add.

I got all the icons that I wanted on the start menu now. Thought there was
supposed to be something in the command line to make it work. Thanks for the
    help.
