I had a problem with many reports of "Input/Output Error" with files I
was scanning through ClamWin. It turned out that my installation of
Cygwin had the /cygdrive/x/ drive mounts mounted in textmode. When
ClamWin feeds a path to clamscanexe, it uses the /cygdrive/x/path/file
naming scheme. If other people have Cygwin installed before they
install ClamWin this might lead to those errors on their systems too.
I would syggest that ClamWin should use real Windows path names
x:\path\file. Files opened with a Win32 path name will automatically be
opened in binmode which will correct "Input/Output Error" problems.
