Exciting News!

Welcome to Cisco IP Telephony Services! This project will be growing with each day. This project will house many simple to use and install plug/play Linux friendly IP services. Some of the services here have been done before, but none are as well documented or have been coded for ease of use and portability.

Some of the things here will be released under GPL and some will be released as public domain. I make little to no claim on most of the code here. I am simply trying to make a central place for people to come and share CGI/PHP based applications for Cisco phones.

A new application will be released soon. A small CTI-like application will allow you to send any number currently residing in the windows clipboard to your phone. All a user need do is simply lift the handset and the phone will dial. I hope to gain developer attraction with this tool as I'd like to see Outlook and Lotus notes plug-in made to support direct dialing in address books. This would provide a free alternative to Cisco's fourth-coming "presence" application server suite of software. I hope to create a windows shell extensions and IE/Fire Fox extensions as well. I believe that with IP phones physically dialing a number will be a thing of the past. Who knows, maybe we can get voice activated dialing.

All of these things are goals of this project. If you have skills in C#, VB or any windows application programming send me a mail. I need developers to help. I have and will provide proof of concept code to anyone who wishes to participate.

Cheers!
