    Hello,

I need to use a sphere as a structuring element to dilate an image, but it has to be "empty" (unfilled).
I looked the example from Cimg doc but the result seems to be a solid sphere. Is it possible to create an empty one?
    Rgds,

    Arielle.

Hi, I don't know for what you will use this either.
However, an empty sphere is for example the difference of to filled spheres of radius r and r+1!

  • What does this mean ?
Never heard of dilating an image with an empty sphere.
    What's the maths behind ?

    Hey!
    Thank for your responses!
In fact, I have to construct a cubic image 3x3x3 and then put the corner at 0 (so the rest is at 1 or 255) to construct a discrete sphere(radius=1)
