I had seen problems like that several months ago, but I thought they were fixed. Setting the MTU to something very low (like 512 bytes) should make the problem occur much more often, which can make it easier to debug. The pincher is still one of the most complex pieces of Chromium, and I wouldn't be surprised if there were still one or two gotchas in there, especially as pertains to getting winding right... -- Some people call me the space cowboy...
