#163 Verbose setting for Ant

The Checkstyle Ant task should get an attribute (such
as "verbose") that triggers printing progress
information during the Ant run. Currently, no
information whatsoever is printed out in the Ant task
making it hard to follow what Checkstyle is doing.

The progress information could be one of three things:

  • a message for each file being processed (such as
    "Checking com.blah.cool.Class....")
  • a summary (such as "Checked 4 files.")
  • a combination of the above.

    To obtain verbose progress information, use the custom
    listeners feature, and the simple VerboseListener or
    configurable CommonsLoggingListener from the
    contrib/examples/listeners directory that are in the CVS for
    version 3.2.
