I really love cewolf. It works perfect when I use it in a JSP site to make the chart.
My problem is the following: I make a program which runs in the background. It will not be a website but an application without a graphic user interface. Data from a data base will be processed and taken as base for the chart. The program is supposed to make the chart (Cewolf/JFreechart) and saves it as a png pictures in a folder on the hard disk. Later on the day or maybe days later I can have a look on those chart pictures.
How can I use cewolf without using a servlet?
How can I teach cewolf to make pictures without using JSP, Applets or a GUI?
How can I use cewolf to make pictures in the background without displaying the charts, but saving the pictures on a hard disk?
I would appreciate an answer very much. Thank you in advance.
In this case, your best bet is to use jfreechart directly. Cewolf itself is specifically a tag lib wrapper to make jfc easier to use in a webapp. Outside a webapp, Cewolf doesn't add anything.
thank you for this information. I'll have a look on the manual for jfc.
Have a nice day.
