If different source files include the wx headers with different things defined, then there will be continued problems. That is a side effect of using 'message' to display things in the minibuffer. The alternative is to put that info in the header line, mode line, or some other more persistent place. I hear the Science Channel has already started to show spots for teams heading to The Chunk.
