a short question: Do we have any progress concerningt this topic - i mean the propagating problem....
Or what is the current state?
It's important to know for my next ECB-release - thank you for information...

It is my understanding that the non-propagation of after-change-hook
function calling is considered a bug that was to be fixed in Emacs 23.
I didn't do anything with the advice. It wasn't clear what the actual
Emacs 23 solution might be, as we'd want to mimic whatever that is.
Also, I finally got a new Linux machine and have been distracted
trying to get the things I do with my old machine running there. I am
clearly too old-school in my Linux ways as this Ubuntu system is
confusing to me. I picked Ubuntu because I seem to get a lot of bug
reports about headers in Ubuntu. Sadly, it's taking a long time just
to get started there.
