Making a "dist" is a bit non-trivial. The full list of steps I go
through is in the PRERELEASE_CHECKLIST file.
It does appear that there is a bug in the Makefiles created by EDE,
in that it should build the -wy.el files for the dist.
Your best bet is to do a regular build from CVS first, then do a
make dist. That will make sure all the files are there. I also
usually run the two test suites before making a dist.
The other step you are missing is the change-log creation. That is
described in the checklist file.
