I downloaded the latest CDRDAO source, configured ('./configure') and
compiled it ('make') as user=chris, and then installed it ('make
install') as root. Strange, but I can now only run cdrdao as
Cdrdao version 1.1.9 - (C) Andreas Mueller <andreas@...>
SCSI interface library - (C) Joerg Schilling
Paranoia DAE library - (C) Monty
saxon:/home/chris # cdrdao
bash: cdrdao: command not found
saxon:/home/chris # ls -l /usr/local/bin/cdrdao
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 3665588 2005-02-10 16:15
Binary permissions seem fine. What have I missed?

/usr/local/bin seems not in $PATH for root..
Also mentioning uname -a would be a good start..
