[Cdrdao-devel] svcd on plextor to fast From: Markus Walser - 2003-02-04 19:32:04 ```Hi I'm trying to write a SVCD with my PX-W1210S Rev: 1.05 using the followin= g=20 command: =09"cdrdao write -v 9 --speed 8 --device 0,4,0 --eject videocd.cue" I'm having now the problem that most of my CD-Rs 700MB / CD-RWs 700MB get= =20 written about 4 times to fast. That means that the burning process ends a= bout=20 4 times to early. On the CD I can see that just about a quarter of space = gets=20 written. The strange thing is that on a few mediums (a Plextor CD-RW 650M= B=20 and an old Microspot CD-RW 680MB) this works fine.=20 For me I looks more like a firmware problem, but the plextor Support Eng= ineer=20 just meant that cdrdao isn't supported by plextor and I have to ask=20 "manufacturer of your recording software". Does anybody have some hints=20 what's going wrong here? There's neither a kernel error message nor a cdr= dao error message.=20 Best regards, Markus The log of a "to fast" written disk looks like: markus@...:~/dvdrip/TodAufDemNil/avi/007> cdrdao write -v 9 --speed 8=20 --device 0,4,0 --simulate --eject videocd.cue Cdrdao version 1.1.7 - (C) Andreas Mueller SCSI interface library - (C) Joerg Schilling Paranoia DAE library - (C) Monty Check http://cdrdao.sourceforge.net/drives.html#dt for current driver tab= les.
